The Foundry produces both in-house castings and speciality castings, for outside customers, where low volumes are required. Metals cast are :-

• Grey Cast Iron
• Brass
• Aluminium

The foundry provides the basis for the company's manufacturing philosophy. Quality castings are essential if the end product is to be long lasting and reliable. Skilled tradesmen produce quality castings.

The sustainable future

Castings enable the perseveration of resources through recycling - this is a key to the windmill business, which depends on the longevity of the finished product to support its claim as the least expensive way to pump water. After 50 to 70 years when the windmill has done its life's work, it can simply be melted down and remade into another windmill.
